Handmade from natural seagrass and recycled cotton saris, these unique, fair trade bee shelters are a fusion between traditional European skeps used for collecting honeybee swarms and the skilled hand-woven style of artisans from Bangladesh. The tightly woven materials are water-resistant and naturally insulating, providing valuable habitat for bees, especially during colder months.

For best results outside, place skep in a sheltered spot, preferably raised off the ground. Bracing the inside of the skep with twigs and sticks gives the bees some structure and material to build their nest around. If extra support is needed, anchor with tent pegs or Earth Staples.
